Peter Roskam’s been doing his best to sow fear and doubt about President Obama’s handling of the economy. He is doing this in a cynical attempt to sell you more of the redistributive (poor to rich), deregulatory, trickle-down economic policy that brought the world to the brink of depression under President Bush. Don’t fall for it.

Here Rachel Maddow does a nice segment with economist James Galbraith of the University of Texas that cuts away the bullshit being dispensed by the GOP:

A year ago I feared O’bama was unqualified. Now my fears have come true. He had less business experience than my uncle that sold beer all his life. He believes he has money because he has checks in his checkbook. My daughter and her children will be responsible for his lack of knoeledge. I hope to have a higher standerd of living here than a third world country. Spending has to stop! The only reason first-time unemployment has gone down is their is no-one left to fire except bloated government.

If you can watch the President’s performance today at the GOP House Issues Conference and still say these things then you have no intellectual honesty. But then I wouldn’t expect any given the tea party talking points. Thanks for reading anyway.

Roskam need not fearmonger facts about the debt and unemployment. Obama’s handling of the economy speaks for itself, massive debts and 10% unemployment. Roskam need not open his mouth, anyone who sees these numbers is fearful, or brain-dead.

Having watched Obama’s performance, I agree it was good. So is an Academy Award winning actor, but would you want him to run the country? With every Obama appearance, he reveals himself to be the empty suit he is.
