RSR is a progressive blog dedicated to securing better representation in Congress for the ordinary working people of Illinois’ 6th Congressional District. The site has no formal affiliation to any political party or other organization. The site is funded entirely by its authors who are residents of the district and does not accept donations of any kind.

We believe that Peter Roskam is not representing the interests of the majority of citizens of the district and instead is working to advance a legislative agenda that favors corporations over consumers and the economic elite over the poor and middle class.

We have endorsed Benjamin Lowe of Wheaton, the Democratic candidate for the 6th district in 2010 but have no connection with his campaign.
